Qwintsoft LLP ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your information when you use Qwint Caption ("the Software") and our website.
1. Information We Collect
Account and Purchase Information: When you purchase Qwint Caption, Razorpay collects your name, email address, and payment information on our behalf. We receive a transaction record that includes your email and purchase details we never see your full card number.
License Activation Data: We store your license key, activation status, machine identifiers (hashed), and usage credit balance to validate your license and track credit consumption.
Audio Processing Data: When you generate captions, audio segments from your Premiere Pro timeline are sent securely to our AI transcription service for processing. These audio segments are not stored beyond the duration required to complete transcription (typically seconds). We do not retain your audio content.
Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage metrics (e.g., features used, credit consumption, plugin version) to improve the Software. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the license key and activation instructions to your email
- To validate your license and manage your credit balance
- To process AI transcription requests
- To send important product updates or security notices (not marketing spam)
- To improve the Software and fix bugs
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:
- Razorpay: For secure payment processing (governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy)
- OpenAI / Whisper AI: Audio is sent for transcription, not retained post-processing
- Email service provider: For transactional emails (license delivery, receipts)
- Legal authorities: Only when required by law
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and license data for the duration of your license plus 3 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7). Audio content processed for captioning is not retained.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, hashed machine identifiers, and access controls on our databases. Payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay's PCI DSS compliant infrastructure.
6. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for functionality (e.g., session management). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect website functionality.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing of your data
- Data portability

8. Children's Privacy
Qwint Caption is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
